Alana Russell, LCSW, Aging Life Care Specialist®

Alana joined Everyday Hands in September 2025, bringing over 25 years of experience supporting older adults and their families. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an Aging Life Care Specialist®, she provides expert guidance to families in Rochester, NY. Alana is also a member of the Aging Life Care Association® (ALCA) and a trained Death Doula through the International End of Life Doula Association (INELDA), adding specialized expertise in holistic care management and end-of-life care. She helps families navigate complex healthcare systems, care transitions, and long-term planning, always with a focus on preserving dignity, independence, and quality of life.

With a Master’s in Social Work from Boston College and a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Skidmore College, Alana offers expertise in assessment, advocacy, crisis intervention, and connecting families with healthcare and community resources. She provides client-centered support in areas such as medical management, home care services, housing, social engagement, legal and financial resources, long-distance caregiving, and care coordination.

Alana is motivated by the trust families place in her during some of life’s most important moments. She works to reduce stress, provide clarity, and support their care goals with compassionate, professional guidance.

Outside of work, Alana enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, watching documentaries, spending time outdoors (especially near the water), walking with her dog, and exploring new restaurants and places with friends and family.
